When I was in that position 25 years ago, I quit my job and started a business. It was hard at first but I had always kept my expenses low. Not for everyone, but it works pretty well from my experience. Working for someone else is never gonna be ideal and the reasons that X-ers are in demand is that they are still malleable, something you grow out of as you age. So don’t keep your head down, keep your expenses down and when ready make a move.
