I keep wanting to like this but it describes what’s at best a lot of breakeven propositions. While the original space program spun off a lot of cool tech and there’s even a NASA publication “Spin-off” we have to be prepared for all that to slow down because the first innovators had to develop a lot of stuff that we now use, but there is not likely to be a big pile of new tech waiting to be invented. That’s just how disruptive innovation works, eventually all of the niches get filled. I know this may sound cliche but there really are challenges right here on the planet that need STEM attention and funding. Population is dangerously high, there isn’t enough usable energy, or housing, or fertilizer, or arable land, or fresh water for that matter, and food supplies are precarious. Why go back to space if that’s the case? Thanks.

Used to write a lot more about science, tech, econ, politics etc. I spend my time reading and painting with exercise for good measure. Looking for more.
