Good stuff, Ted. But I wonder why no one takes the long view. Women, underlings, and slaves have been bashing the leading men since before Christianity. Look at the comedies of Terrence and Seneca and You'll see plenty of plots that revolve on putting one over on the dope with all the wealth and power. To me, the fact that this trope still works thousands of years later says something about regular man-woman relations. Not saying it's right by the way, just that rather than talking at or about men, maybe we should enter into real discussions. Of course, some men are, as you point out, deficient in one or more ways. But they are being used to define too much of who we are resulting in a kind of tyranny of the minority. As a society we are not doing the work to make things better. We're just complaining and we need to find our voice.
