Bravo! Good analysis. My own analysis says that any paradigm shift like this has to go through the same 5 stages of grief that Elizabeth Kubler-Ross, MD first described for death and dying. Anger, Denial, Bargaining, defeat and acceptance (not sure about the word for defeat but the idea is right). Here we can replace bargaining with grift. Grift happens when we try, try, try to find ways to salvage the old paradigm or at least parts of it For massive short term profit. So we have hydrogen split from hydrocarbons running things despite the fact that you can’t compress it to a liquid so the carrying capacity of a hydrogen vehicle is severely limited. Also, the energy cost of making the hydrogen is very high. A vehicle with a hydrogen tank on it has another name—a bomb on wheels. You are right, like it or not, we are in the process of moving to EVs with batteries.
