About 20 years ago I was writing about the future benefits of social networking. I talked about networking because there were no actual products yet. Social Networking was an idea percolating around Harvard, and that’s about it. Social media came and I was happy, I used it, then I got disillussioned with all the negativity it engendered. Today I am cheerleading the “Analog Renaissance,” if there can be such a thing. Chances are good that social media will be around, zombie-like, for a long time. Young people are not gravitating to it as they once did. People like you and me are disowning it. We will probably be left with a Yogi Berra-like situation in which nobody goes there any more because it’s too crowded.
